Sahir Montoya is a corridos singer-songwriter from Monterrey, Nuevo León. He started in music as a child, learned guitar in high school and rounded out his training with online tutorials. His references are Ariel Camacho and the norteño style of Miguel y Miguel. Before signing, he sang on buses in downtown Monterrey and at private events.
He became known through the BÉLICO INDIE project, which produced "La P-90", "El Kiru", "Me Visto Caro" and "Pin Pon". He describes his sound as "corridos adiamantados" and has taken it to the Pa'l Norte and ARRE festivals.
