The Karma Lotus is for when you want to be heard. Its solid wood top projects with power and body: the requinto cuts through above the accordion and the bass, and the guitar backs it up with real warmth. Docerola strung in unison pairs and 6-string guitar, ready from the factory for Regional Mexican music, with details almost nobody gives you in this range. It's not the most expensive in its league; it's the most complete.
When the guitar starts to bloom
LOTUS is named after a flower for a reason: it's the point where your sound opens up. It's the first Karma with a solid top and the first with a volute, two leaps that change how your docerola sounds and looks. Karma LOTUS is the moment your instrument starts to have a character of its own.
Solid flamed mahogany: wood that comes alive
Here's the big leap. LOTUS debuts the first solid wood top in the KARMA lineup: solid mahogany on the black one and flamed mahogany on the Aged, with that wavy grain that catches the light. Unlike a laminate, solid wood vibrates as a whole: it gives you a warmer, livelier sound with more body, one that keeps getting better the more you play it. It doesn't sound the same on day one as on day one thousand; this guitar becomes more yours with every dance.
The volute: the signature of a carefully built guitar
Run your finger behind the headstock and you'll feel a small carving: the volute. It's a reinforcement in the most fragile area of the neck and, at the same time, a lutherie signature that gives away how much care went into the guitar. Almost nobody includes it in this range; LOTUS does, because from here on KARMA builds with details that usually cost a lot more.
Who is the Karma Lotus for?
For the player who already has the ear and the hands and wants, for the first time, the warmth of solid wood: the one who notices the difference and goes looking for it.
You don't have to fix it: it already comes complete.
At this price, a lot of people will tell you to buy one from a famous brand, for example, a Fender CD-140SCE-12 docerola or a Yamaha APX700II docerola, "and then just put a Bridge Doctor on it". Think about it: they're telling you to modify it so it works. The Karma Lotus docerola already comes with the Bridge Doctor, with unison pairs and with its 3-band EQ. KARMA LOTUS 12-AGD
The KARMA LOTUS 12-AGD is an acoustic-electric docerola (12-string guitar) made for Regional Mexicano. It brings the solid top to the Karma line. Dreadnought body with cutaway, solid flamed mahogany top, flamed mahogany back and sides, Double-X bracing and Aged Burst satin finish. Mahogany neck with 2 carbon fiber rods and a volute, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, and a 644 mm scale length. It has a Karma Boost 3-band preamp with tuner and a factory-installed Bridge Doctor, and ships from the factory with .010-.047 phosphor bronze strings in unison pairs. The case is sold separately; 12-month warranty.

Bridge Doctor System
A system that sits inside the guitar, mounted under the bridge, with an adjustable pressure post that rests against the tail block and applies leverage to keep the top flat and stable.

Double-X Bracing System
Double X bracing to handle unison-pair strings. This internal reinforcement spreads the extra tension, protects the top from giving way over the years and, at the same time, lets the guitar project more clarity and power.
Reinforced Bridge
Two bolts with nuts are installed through the bridge and the top, fastening them mechanically. The head of each bolt sits in a counterbore and is covered with a mother-of-pearl inlay, so it is hidden from the outside.
KARMA LOTUS 6-BLK
The KARMA LOTUS 6-BLK is a 6-string acoustic-electric guitar, the rhythm guitar (armonía) that accompanies the requinto in Regional Mexicano. It brings the solid top to the Karma line. Dreadnought body with cutaway, solid mahogany top, mahogany back and sides, X-Bracing and gloss finish in black. Mahogany neck with 2 carbon fiber rods and a volute, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, and a 644 mm scale length. It has a Karma Boost 3-band preamp with tuner, and ships from the factory with .011-.052 phosphor bronze strings. The case is sold separately; 12-month warranty.
