Biography
La Ventaja is a group from Culiacán, Sinaloa, formed in 2014 and led by singer-songwriter Irvin Sánchez. Their sound starts from the corrido and guitar-driven norteño and has expanded into sierreño and Sinaloan banda, always true to the old school. Their album Guitarras (2016) made them known beyond their home state.
They are part of Music VIP and opened Grupo Firme's concerts at Foro Sol. In 2023 they released Culiacán DeLuxe and Culiacán DeLuxe 2, live albums with guests such as Enigma Norteño, Roberto Tapia and Los Intocables del Norte. In 2025, "Sin Fin de Lucro" entered Billboard's Regional Mexican Airplay chart.
